CITRIC ACID
Citric acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) - an organic acid that naturally occurs in the juices of citrus fruits such as lemon, lime and orange. The use of citric acids is to adjust the pH level of the products and prevent them from being too alkaline. When used in the correct formulas, it can effectively exfoliate and brighten the skin, and due to its anti-oxidizing and anti-ageing properties, can be used to buff away dead skin, speed up cell regrowth and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
