08 September 2021

There's no doubt that Serozinc was one of the most awaited new products ever at SweetCare! Aldought it's a very simple care, Serozinc can make a big difference on the daily routine of the whole family! Do you know how?

Although it is commonly associated to acne treatment, Serozinc from La Roche Posay can be used for many other purposes!

This products consists of a sodium sulphate solution, carefully packaged and preserved as aerosol, and it's commonly used as a toner thanks to its astringent action. It acts by gently constricting the skin areas where it's applied. On the other hand, zinc sulfate also has soothing and antimicrobial action.

By acting on all these skin functions, Serozinc can be considered as a multi-functional product, and it can be used by many people, having different skin types and issues.

Oily and acneic skin

Oily and acneic skin

Cleansing is probably the most important step for those who have a skin prone to oiliness or acne. Therefore, we recommend you to start your routine using a cleansing gel such as SVR Sebiaclear (1), which gently cleanses the skin while exfoliating it very lightly. Then, it's time to apply the Serozinc! Spray it continuously in order to moisten the entire face and then massage it until the product is completely absorbed or pat dry the excess using a towel. The skin becomes immediately matifyed, and the pores diameter is visibly reduced.

At this point, you only need to add some moisturization. For oily skin, which also has blackheads and enlarged pores, we suggest SVR Sebiaclear mat pores (2), which moisturizes, exfoliates, matyfied, and protects the skin from free radicals' action. On the other hand, if the skin also has some pimples, SVR Sebiaclear active is our favorite product! In addition to providing the same matifying and moisturizing action, this product has a more intensive exfoliating action and it contains niacinamide, that reduces the generation of imperfections and scaring.

Rosacea

In this case, the cleansing step needs to be especially adapted for sensitive skin. For this reason, we have chosen the Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water AIR (1), which decreases redness intensity, minimizes its recurrence, and increases sensitive skin's tolerance.

Once the face is cleansed, it is ready to receive Serozinc, which will help to soothe the skin and keep it moisturized.

Finally, it's time for moisturization, that so important to retain water inside the epidermis, and strengthen the skin's barrier that shields it from external aggressions. This is particularly relevant for those who are prone to redness. With all this in mind, we suggest Bioderma Sensibio AR BB cream (2), which will moisturize, soothe, and protect the skin from UV adiation, while it gives you a bit of color, thus neutralizing the redness as well.

After waxing

After waxing

Waxing the hair from your face can be very particularly aggressive and sensitizing for the skin. Therefore, Serozinc can also have a very important role on solving this problem!

After shaving, it is important to remove the wax residues. And to do so, there's nothing more effective and delicate than a cleansing oil, as the sweet almonds cleansing oil from Caudalie (1). It must be applied on dry skin with a gente massage, and then emulsified with tepid water, until it is completely removed.

At the end of this step, you can spray Serozinc on the area that was waxed, letinng it absorb with a gentle massage, and then removing  the excess of product.

Finally, it is urgent to apply a repairing cream that holds the skin moisture and stimulates its regeneration. For this purpose, we suggest Bioderma Cicabio repairer with spf50 (2), during the day, in order to prevent the appearance of dark spots that are common when waxed shaved skin is exposed to the sun. You can reapply it every time the skin becomes dehydrated, and as many times as you want during the day! For keeping the treatment at night, we recommend Bioderma Cicabio healing cream (3).

Diaper change

Diaper change

The diaper's area is subject to many aggression, so there is a high probability of developing redness, rashes, or even serious microbial infections. In order to avoid these problems, it is important to have a good hygiene and care routing on each diaper change!

You can start by using the Mustela dermo-soothing wipes (1) to cleansed the baby's skin, following with a Serozinc spray in a sufficent amount for it to be completely absorbed. This step will refresh the diaper's area, that is so often inflamed, and it will also preventmicro-organisms proliferation. At the end, it is important to soak up excess the moisture from de productwith a sponge or cloth or towel, in order to garantee the skin's surface is dry.

For those days when the skin is particularly inflamed, we suggest Mustela vitamin cream for the diaper area (2),  applied in a thick layer, in order to soothe and repair the skin.

After shaving

After shaving

As with waxing, shaving can also be extremely aggressive to man's skin.

Therefore, we recommend using Eucerin Men Silver shaving gel (1) or to the equivalent cream, which allows an excellent blade slippage, and a high tolerance even for the most sensitive skins.

After rinsing off, it's time to apply Serozinc on shaved, stimulating the product's absorption with light touches. The skin becomes immediately cooler, calm, purified, and the small hemorrhages will stop much faster!

When you finish absorbing the excess product with a towel, you can proceed with moisturization and skin repairing by applying a specially formulated after-shave. For this step, we recommend Men silver shave after shave balm from Eucerin (2), which is also suitable for acneic sensitive skin.
