Caprylyl Glycol
Caprylyl glycol is an alcohol obtained from caprylic acid, which is naturally found in palm and coconut oils. Formulators hold it in high regard for several reasons: it functions as a humectant, which means it helps the skin retain moisture, and it also possesses antimicrobial properties akin to a preservative. It can be applied in the formulation of emulsions and rinse-off products.
